These notes name the commission, the constraint, and what actually arrived. They are not star widgets. One collector is blunt about a first motion proof that felt thin.
I sent a half-remembered line from the Lay of Thrym and expected them to shrug. Ewan pinned the beat to Thor disguised at the giant’s table, hammer still boxed. The inks keep the helmet slightly too large, which is the joke. The NFT loop only rattles the drinking horn. That was the right amount of motion.
The first cape cycle on my Jotunheim crossing was eight frames and it looked cheap against Rhiannon’s line. I said so. Amina rebuilt it as a slower twelve-frame drag of wet fur, and the panel finally matched the still. I would rather they had shown me the longer loop first.
We needed a silent page for a small Leeds reading: Thor on the wall, no balloons. Stackpilot Grid delivered six panels with gutter timing that let me pause between hail sheets. Visitors spent longer on the third panel than on the splash, which is what I wanted.
I underwrote two numbers in the ‘Stolen hammer’ drop. The still that came with edition 07 has a gold leaf crack in the border that the NFT file also carries. It is a physical habit copied into the comic, not a filter.
Longer note: the Bifrost breach sequence
Writer Catrin Bale arrived with a problem: her prose already described the Bridge shattering, and she did not want a panel that merely illustrated the paragraph. Over a Milton sitting we cut her text down to three beats — the first hairline, the roar under the feet, the colour draining from the rainbow. Tomasz keyed the middle panel almost grey, which frightened everyone in the room until the motion loop put a single remaining band of colour across the break.
The sequence took eleven weeks because the architecture of the Bridge had to stay consistent while collapsing. Catrin hung the six stills in order in her hallway and plays the NFT comics on a spare screen at the end of the row. She still argues that the last panel’s lightning is a fraction late. Amina agrees, and we left it: the delay is the fall.
