Colour keys for Asgardian dusk and Midgard storm
Asgardian dusk is not orange. If the gold of the hall goes brass, Thor’s cape reads as brown and the whole panel loses the Marvel-comics punch collectors expect from a splash. Tomasz keys dusk as cold gold against a violet that never quite becomes night, then lets one window hold a warmer lamp so the metal has somewhere to reflect.
Midgard storm is the opposite problem. British hail reference — we walk it at the edge of Milton when the sky turns — wants to paint everything blue-grey. The cape must stay a true red or Thor vanishes into the ridge. The trick is to dirty the red with a little earth only on the shadowed folds, and to keep a dry edge on the shoulder that faces the lightning.
We show colour as a single key for sequences. Panel-by-panel improvisation is how Bifrost architecture starts to drift. If a collector asks for a sunset in Jotunheim because they like the photograph, we will say no: the realm’s light is already chosen.
